Tree Pruning

We are more than a few guys in trucks with chainsaws. Our field crew is highly trained and experienced, performing proper pruning techniques that manage health and production, develop structure, provide clearance, manage size & shape, improve aesthetics, and respect and manage wildlife habitat.

As professional and certified arborists, we evaluate the condition of your trees to determine the type of pruning required to balance your goals and those of managing plant health and safety. Our arborists follow the ANSI A300 Pruning Standards for Tree Health and Safety.

Tree Removal

We love trees. If there is a managable way to save your tree, we’ll be the first to tell you! Sometimes tree removal becomes necessary due to decline and disease, risk mitigation and safety, storm damage, or construction. Removals can also be useful in eliminating competition for light and space so that the remaining plants are better able to grow and thrive.

With your goals in mind, our professional arborists perform an on-site evaluation to determine the necessary tree work needed for the best outcome. Whether for pruning or removal, we provide a curtesoy, no obligation estimate to price the work that will achieve your goals.

Stump Removal

Stumps can be an eyesore, habitat for pests & fungal disease, or just a pain to mow around. Whether a stand along stump or as part of the tree removal process, our customers may request stump removal.

When removing a tree, customers may opt to leave the stump at a designated height, cut low, or choose stump grinding to remove the stump and area surface roots.

At Alpine Tree, without stump grinding or a requested specific height, with a tree removal, the stump will be cut as close to the ground as possible. It cannot be cut completely flush or below the surface. We typically leave the area level and the space where the stump previously existed fill with a combination of the grindings and surrounding dirt. Be aware the area may settle over the years as the grindings settle and decompose. You may want to consider adding topsoil as time moves on.

Optionally, as pat of the tree removal, the removal of the stump can be provided with the use of a stump grinding machine. Our office performs a Pennsylvania One call to insure no underground utlities are present.
